All prices stated are in British Pounds Sterling (GBP)

POP3/IMAP Email Hosting

The sheet below allows you to quickly calculate the cost of accounts and break down how the charges are made up. These prices apply to POP3/IMAP hosting only. Prices shown are 'per month' and exclude VAT.

Useful Notes

• An account is a 'billing point'. Mailboxes are owned by accounts. This allows you to set up one account for a company that contains multiple mailboxes, or an account for signle end-user with mailboxes for their family etc. If the value in the account field is greater than 1, it is treated as a multipler. If working out the price for a single customer, leave the account field at 1.
• Charges are calculated based on the capability of an account, not its actual usage. Therefore if an account has the ability to create 5 mailboxes, it will be charged for those mailboxes regardless of whether the mailboxes have been created or not.
• When considering quota, bear in mind the difference between POP3 and IMAP. POP3 users need a much lower quota as the storage is only a 'queue' for mail waiting to be downloaded. IMAP users store messages on the server, so typically need more space.

SMTP Forwarding

SMTP forwarding services provide anti-spam and anti-virus filtering for existing SMTP servers by acting as a gateway to them.

Useful Notes

• A 'user' is a unique mailbox on the destination server (i.e. a 'person'). We do not charge for alias addresses such as 'sales@' or 'info@', so don't add them. We also don't consider name aliases as multiple users. The rule of thumb is 1 person = 1 license.
• Each account includes 100MB of quota, so the calculator will show this amount as 0.00. If you enter a lower value, this will produce an incorrect quote.
• The minimum amount of users permitted is 5. User licenses are sold in blocks of 5, so any numbers between will be rounded up.
